Video/DVD/YT submissions should be approximately 15-20 minutes in length and demonstrate barre and center exercises, including adagio, tendus, pirouettes, grand pirouettes, petit, medium, and grand allegro, tours en l'air for men, fouettes and pointe work for ladies. You may also include a classical ballet variation if desired. At the beginning of the video, you should introduce yourself and state your age, the number of year(s) of ballet/dance study, the number of years of pointe work (if applicable), the name(s) of your current school and teacher(s), and any previous summer intensive programs, festivals and/or international ballet competitions in which you have participated. The attire should be a leotard and full length pink tights for ladies and a white shirt and black tights for men.

Please register online before sending us your video audition. Unregistered candidates won't be considered for Ellison Ballet programs.

Requirements
Applicants should be between 11 - 19 years of age and have a strong basic classical foundation in relation to their level and age. Please provide two recent photos (1st arabesque and tendu a la seconde). Photographs will not be returned. Girls should wear full-length pink tights and a leotard with ballet slippers. Boys should wear white t-shirts and full-length black tights.
Acceptance and Enrollment Process
Upon completing a summer intensive audition, participating students will receive a letter indicating acceptance, wait-list, or non-acceptance within two weeks. Accepted students will receive an invitation letter along with an Enrollment Agreement detailing the fees, deadlines and Ellison Ballet Summer Intensive policy. The Enrollment Agreement must be signed and returned within two weeks with a non-refundable $1,000 deposit and $100 administrative fee paid before March 1, 2013. Wait-listed candidates will be informed in March if their status changes. Priority is given to the full SI program (6 or 4 weeks) participants. Those wishing to be invited into the year-round program are encouraged to attend both SI and Classical PDD programs.
Cost
Four week Summer Intensive program: $3,000
Two week Classical Pas de Deux program: $1,750
Two week Classical Variations program: $1,750
Six weeks Summer Intensive & Classical Pas de Deux or Classical Variations programs: $4,500
Housing cost NOT INCLUDED
Scholarships
Scholarships are limited and considered for students of exceptional talent and need and granted at the sole discretion of Ellison Ballet. Students receiving scholarship are expected to make early decisions about attendance.
Housing
Dormitory accommodation in a conveniently located housing facility within a walking distance to Ellison Ballet studios will be available to all accepted participants.
Housing info and cost will be posted in Feb/March 2013.
Additionally EB provides accepted students a comprehensive housing resource guide, which includes the names of apartment finder services, men's/women's residencies, participating university housing options, and the EBSI student/parent contact list for purposes of coordinating housing arrangements/finding roommates with other EBSI students.
